... are held the fourth Tuesday of most months at the United Methodist Church, 7400 Pioneer Way, near downtown Gig Harbor. Social hour at 5:30pm; business meeting at 6pm; art demo / program at 7pm. (Note: Please don't park in the "Visitor"spots in the parking lot.)

Upcoming meetings & important events:

Feb. 28 -- Our February meeting will feature a demo on wax painting techniques by Meredith Phillips. This is also a screening month for new members and members working in new mediums. Download screening instructions from the "Miscellaneous Forms" page.

March 28 -- Painter Elizabeth Cox will be our demo artist.

   Monthly Featured Artists -- At every general meeting, we have a display of work by three of our members. Each Featured Artist brings a few pieces of their work and is available to chat during the social hour. This gives us a chance to get to know one another better as artists and to show off our latest creations. Contact Terry Shovlowski at if you'd like to display your work at a meeting.


    Our first workshop of 2017 takes place April 22 & 23 with a Travel Journal Sketchbook workshop led by Darsie Beck. Mr. Beck is a member of the Urban Sketchers group and has taught workshops throughout the Northwest. Visit the Workshops & Classes page for more information.     Our Winter Members' Show takes place March 6-April 3 at Kimball Gallery. Catherine Gill is our juror. Awards reception will be Sunday, March 12, 4-5pm. Click here for an entry form --Winter Members' Show Entry Form.
    Our fall show took place in November. Sherri Bails was our juror for this show. See below for the paintings she selected to receive awards.

    This summer's TCC show takes place June 19-Aug. 21 in the main gallery at the Gig Harbor campus. Our theme is "Everything About Water." We're partnering with Harbor WildWatch for this show. More details forthcoming -- meanwhile start visualizing "water" -- whatever that conjurs in your creative mind.

    Screening for PAL Shows -- Participating in art shows is one of the privileges of PAL membership. All screened members are encouraged to show their work in our Members' Shows, Specialty Shows (e.g. Plein Air Show or Net Shed Show) and the TCC shows. Screenings take place three times a year -- February, May and September -- immediately prior to the general meeting.
