... are held the fourth Tuesday of most months at the United Methodist Church, 7400 Pioneer Way, near downtown Gig Harbor. Social hour at 5:30pm; business meeting at 6pm; art demo / program at 7pm. (Note: Please don't park in the "Visitor"spots in the parking lot.)

Upcoming meetings & important events:

March 28 -- Program: two PAL members – Myrna Binion and Eileen Schurer – will do a show-&-tell about what they learned at Teresa Saia's "Expressions of Light" workshop last fall. Myrna and Eileen were able to attend the workshop through PAL scholarships. These scholarship presentations are always fun and informative.
The second part of the meeting will be audience participation. Bring a favorite studio / art accessory or a clever tip to share with the group. It could be something you've found to be a time-saver, or a favorite tool, or even a website or computer program. This is filled with the possibility of new discoveries and a lot of "A-ha!" moments.

Monthly Featured Artists -- At every general meeting, we have a display of work by three of our members. Each Featured Artist brings a few pieces of their work and is available to chat during the social hour. This gives us a chance to get to know one another better as artists and to show off our latest creations. Contact Terry Shovlowski at if you'd like to display your work at a meeting.

Our first workshop of 2017 takes place April 22 & 23 with a Travel Journal Sketchbook workshop led by Darsie Beck. Mr. Beck is a member of the Urban Sketchers group and has taught workshops throughout the Northwest. This workshop is sold out. Contact Myrna Binion to be put on a waiting list.

August 25, 26 & 27 we'll present a Drawing Skills for Painters & Sketchers workshop with Michael Stasinos. Mr. Stasinos is an associate professor of art and design at PLU and will serve as our juror for our annual Open Juried Show. For details visit our Workshops/Classes page.

Our Winter Members' Show is on display through April 3 at Kimball Gallery. Catherine Gill juried the show and chose the paintings shown below to win awards.

This summer's TCC show takes place June 19-Aug. 21 in the main gallery at the Gig Harbor campus. Our theme is "Everything About Water." We're partnering with Harbor WildWatch for this show. More details forthcoming -- meanwhile start visualizing "water" -- whatever that conjurs in your creative mind.
