MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS...
... are held the fourth Tuesday of most months at the United Methodist Church, 7400 Pioneer Way, near downtown Gig Harbor. Social hour at 5:30pm; business meeting at 6pm; art demo / program at 7pm. (Note: Please don't park in the "Visitor"spots in the parking lot.)
Upcoming meetings & important events:
April 26 -- Several PAL members will do a Show & Tell of their recent work. We'll also learn about Zentangle designs (thanks to Ceci Anderson and Pat Lebbert) -- and we'll have a chance to do some creating of our own during a little card-making party (materials provided). We'll also meet the students whose artwork won first, second and third places in our Art Festival poster competition, and we'll welcome our new Art Festival sponsor, Timberland Bank.
May 24 -- PAL member Mary McInnis shares her Monterey Experience -- plein air oils.
This is a screening month. See "Miscellaneous Forms" page for screening guidelines.
June 28 -- Patty Finnegan will demonstrate painting with ink and alcohol on paper.
July 16 & 17 -- Our 32nd annual Summer Art Festival and Members' Summer Show.
Sept. 9 - Oct. 30 -- Our 14th annual Open Juried Show takes place at the history museum. See "Shows & Exhibits" below for details.
Monthly Featured Artists -- At every general meeting, we have a display of work by three of our members. Each Featured Artist brings a few pieces of their work and is available to chat during the social hour. This gives us a chance to get to know one another better as artists and to show off our latest creations. Contact Terry Shovlowski at email@example.com if you'd like to display your work at a meeting.
