MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS...

... are held the fourth Tuesday of most months. Meetings are held at Cottesmore LifeCare, 2909 14th Ave NW. Meeting time: 7pm. For a map showing driving directions, click here. Or, for an easier way to get to Cottesmore click here and look at the "Alternate Directions" sidebar.

Next General Meeting: January 24, 7pm. Location -- Cottesmore Nursing Home, 2909 14th Ave. NW. Plenty of free parking in well-lit, level parking area.
Program: Irina Francis, Fiber Artist ~ Irina is the owner of Harbor Fibers, a new Gig Harbor shop specializing in all things fiber, including wearable art. At our January meeting, Irina will demonstrate her felting and other techniques. Her use of color and her 3-D sense of design will inspire visual artists of all mediums.

February 28 -- 7pm. Program: Bian Hong, a visiting artist from China, will demonstrate her techniques for incorporating calligraphy into abstract painting. She has studied calligraphy since she was a child and recently finished an Artist-in-Residence program at the Vermont Studio Center ?- so this will surely be a fascinating and informative (and inspiring) program.

Save these dates for upcoming meetings: March 20; April 17; May 15; June 19; September 18. No meetings in July or August (Summer Festival and annual picnic instead).

Art Displays -- At every general meeting, we have a display of work by three of our members. Each Featured Artist brings a few pieces of their work and is available to chat during the break. This gives us a chance to get to know one another better as artists and to show off our latest work. Contact Charli Meacham charlimeacham@centurylink.net if you'd like to show your work at a meeting.
