DRAWING and PAINTING GROUPS

   Throughout the year, PAL members get together to draw and paint in
more-or-less formal groups.

   Our Friday Painting Group has been meeting for many years. Currently they meet every Friday from 1-3pm. Contact Harry Sundberg at hesundberg@comcast.net or George Milliken gbmill2@comcast.net for information.

    Our Go Figure Drawing Group meets at Donna Trent's studio every Tuesday (except the second Tuesday) from 10am-2pm. Anyone is welcome to attend and draw or paint from live models (often in costume). There's a small fee ($10) which goes toward models' fees.      The Fox Island Painters meet Wednesdays at 10am at Nichols Community Center on Fox Island. All artists are welcome with payment of a $10 monthly fee. Contact Cece Anderson at (253) 549-4646 for information.

   During the summer, many of us meet to paint and draw en plein aire. It's a great way to stretch ourselves as artists -- and it gets us out of the studio to enjoy the season. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

    Our long-standing Plein Air Group meets weekly from April through Labor Day. Most locations are in the greater Gig Harbor/South Kitsap area, and we often join other organized plein air events and take out-of-the-area painting trips.    The Drawing You In group meets weekly at the Uptown Pavillion. PAL usually hires a model (often in costume) for each session. Contact Anne Knapp if you'd like to help this summer.
